This is the home web page of the Movileanu research group at Syracuse University. The research in this lab, with a multidisciplinary trend from fundamental science to bionanotech applications, is at the cutting edge of membrane (1), ion channel (2), polymer (3) and single molecule (4) biophysics (see the below figure). Replacing the components (1-4) makes this simple system highly relevant for a variety of situations from biology and biotechnology. Other molecular biology and protein chemistry techniques will be used, when necessary. Students with background in experimental physics, chemistry or biomedical sciences are very welcome to contribute to our research endeavors.
