Møller and ep detector constructionWelcome to the Medium Energy Physics Group Home Page

The Syracuse Medium Energy Physics Group is engaged in a program of research which uses the spin property of elementary particles to study fundamental problems in nuclear physics.

Much of our research program involves measuring the small correlations between scattering rates and spin direction arising from parity violation. The parity-violating components of the Standard Model of particle physics, as well as possible extensions of that model, may be explored in a unique way by measurements of such correlations.
