		In this module you will explore what is the present status of the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Imagine you are a journalist who wants to write about this subject. What will you need first? Well, you have to gather the relevant information. Most of the information you need is on the network -- the Internet -- and you will use this computer to explore it. To do so you will be using WWW browsers provided in it. To begin your exploration keep in mind the following questions: What Do We Know of the Universe? More importantly, what should YOU know of the universe before proceeding? What Is Life? What is Intelligence? Before looking for something, we must understand it as well as we can. Where Should We Look For ETs? (ET = ExtraTerrestrial Being) Obviously not on Earth! Or, is it so obvious? How Can We Establish Communication? Will a cellular phone do? Or maybe something larger? How long have we wondered about ETs? A very partial list of ETs in history and literature.
