To start with, we'll take a look at the icons at the top of the page. These are the main sections within the SETI Module. The black icon, in the uppermost left corner, takes you back to the "Science for the 21st Century" page. This is the highest level page.

The other icons are self-explanatory. Topics, takes you to the main course material for the semester. Tutorial, goes over basic information that you should know while using the SETI Module. News, keeps you up to date on the latest happenings within the world of Astronomy. Links offers a great list of sites that can be used to furthur your studies. References lists the resources which were consulted to construct the Seti Module. Search is a search engine for finding the exact location of material you're looking for. Help is the section that we are in now. This will help you get a feel for the site.

The icons on the left hand side of the page are different areas within the sections listed at the top of the page. For instance, we are in the "Help" section. The help icon (at the top) is highlighted. Within the "Help" section we have the following areas: About, Interface, Nav. Map, System, Tips, and Ask The Expert!

The way to tell what area on the left you are in, is that the icon is highlighted and the circle shape behind the icon now becomes u-shape.

Within the black area of the page is where the content for that page lies. The name of the section that you are in is always at the top of this area. Lookin at the top of the current page shows we are in "The SETI Module: Using The Interface."

This is a basic overview of how the pages are set up within the Seti Module. If you have any other questions, please, don't hesitate to use the "Ask the Expert!" icon to email one of the instructors for some help.
