Our group was responsibile for construction of the Møller and ep detectors. These are calorimeters consisting of 200 copper plates with about 35,000 embedded fused silica ("quartz") fibers coming out to 60 photomultiplier tubes. Each detector surrounds the scattered beam giving coverage over the full azimuthal range.
