At present the group's efforts are concentrated on experiments at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator National Accelerator Facility (JLab) in Newport News, Virginia. These include the HAPPEX series of parity violation experiments:

HAPPEX (JLAB experiment E91-010): Parity violation in electron elastic scattering from the proton. Final results were published in Physics Letters; this and the preceding HAPPEX paper are two of the six most cited publications from Jefferson Lab Hall A (as of November 2005). Detailed paper has been published in Physical Review C.
HAPPEX II (JLab Experiment E99-115): Constraining the nucleon strangeness radius in parity violating electron scattering. First results have been submitted to Physical Review Letters.
HAPPEX-He (JLab Experiment E00-114): Parity violation from ⁴He at low Q²: A clean measurement of rho_s. First results have been published in Physical Review Letters.
PREX (JLab Experiment E00-003): A clean measurement of the neutron skin of ²⁰⁸Pb through parity violating electron scattering.
HAPPEX-III (Jlab Experiment E05-109)

We are also involved in:

JLab Experiment E02013: Measurement of the neutron electric form factor G_Eⁿ at high Q².

Other past work includes:

SLAC experiment E-158: A precision measurement of the weak mixing angle in Møller scattering. The Syracuse Medium Energy Physics group built the main detector for this experiment as well as a background detector. Final results were published in Physical Review Letters and were written up in Nature (26 May 2005, Vol. 435, p. 437) (pdf), CERN Courier (July/August 2005, p. 7) (html), and Physics Today (September 2005, p. 21) (html, subscription required). Preliminary results were summarized by the American Institute of Physics Physics News Update and cited as one of the 30 top physics news stories of 2004, and the final results were summarized and named one of the 25 top physics news stories of 2005.
