This is the first paper in which it is shown that spin zero charges require a direct interaction term proportional to the fourth power of the field.

It is pointed out why our result differs from those of other authors.

1952: Forward Scattering of Light by a Coulomb Field. With R. L. Gluckstern.

This is the first fourth order calculation in QED after the work by Karplus and Neuman on scattering of light by light (photon-photon scattering). It is also known as Delbrück scattering.

1965: Gauge independence and Path Independence. Physical Review 139, B476-482. With F. Strocchi.

A gauge independent as well as path independent covariant formulation of QED is presented.

1974: Equivalence of null-plane and conventional quantum electrodynamics. Physical Review D 9, 2237-2245. With James H. Ten Eyck.

The null plane formulation of QED that I developed earlier is shown to be equivalent to its conventional formulation.
