Numbers Contest NUM5

This is my fifth Numbers Contest, NUM5

Reply ONLY by e-mail to momo@physics.ucsb.edu.
Do NOT post answers to any newsgroup.
Entries must reach here by Monday, June 10th, 7:00 P.M.
	 (L.A. time, zone -7).

This is a new type of contest, so please be sure and read the rules.

For each of the questions below, give a real number between 0 and
100 (inclusive). For each question, your object is to get as close
to a certain target number as possible. This target number will be
calculated from all the responses of entrants to this question.
On each question, your score will be the square of the difference
between your answer and the target number. Your total score will be the
sum of your scores on all 9 questions. Your goal is to get as low
a score as possible.

If your answer to a question is not a real number in the range [0,100],
or it is written in a way which is difficult for me to interpret, you
will receive a score of 50000 on that question, and your answer will not
be used in any way for the calculation of the target score for that
question.

A. target = arithmetic mean of all responses to this question
B. target = (4/5)*(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
C. target = (2/3)*(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
D. target = (1/2)*(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
E. target = (1/3)*(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
F. target = (1.25)*(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
G. target = 10+(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
H. target = 20+(arithmetic mean of all responses to this question)
I. target = geometric mean of all responses to this question

The rest of the rules are standard boilerplate. If you've been in any
of my contests before (or Mark Brader's), you've seen this all before.

For my convenience please do not quote this message when reponding.
You message should contain your answers, labelled A to I, and your name.
Additional comments, explanatory notes, explanations of strategy,
and suggestions for questions for future contests are all welcome, but
please place them after your nine answers, and make sure that they are
clearly marked so as not to be confused with your answers. Your e-mail
address will be posted in the results if I don't see both a first and
a last name, or an explicit request for a particular form of your name
to be used.

Multiple entries are not allowed. Please do not post any discussion
of the questions to any newsgroup while the contest is in progress,
or collaborate with other contestants in your entries.

If you have questions about the rules, please e-mail me rather than
posting questions to the newsgroup.

Have fun!
