For a given word, you need to figure out which letters can be put in front of the word to form a word one letter longer, and similarly, which letters can be put at the end of the word to form a word one letter longer. This is admittedly not a terribly exciting game, but it's pretty useful to know the hooks in Scrabble. Beginners should partiularly learn the 2→3 letter hooks.
Click the check boxes for the letters that you think can be put in the front and the back, and then press on the "Answer" button to score your answer.
If you press the "New word" button, you can get a new randomly generated word of the desired length. Alternatively, you can directly enter your own word in the blank space.
For other Scrabble programs, you can check out my Scrabble puzzle generator and Scrabble anagram puzzle generator. Those are more interesting to play with.
