Research Interests

Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) - the theory of the fundamental interaction of quarks.
Investigation of the properties and production of glueballs.
Interplaybetween particle physics and cosmology, especially inflation and cosmic string models

Recent Publications

The QCD Vacuum, Particle World, 4, 32 (1995).
Deconfinement Transition and Flux String Models, with a. Momen, Phys. Rev., D56, 1437 (1997).

Second Stage String Fragmentation, with T. Al-Aithan has been submitted to Phys. Rev.  this paper is particularly interesting since it deals with a topic of interest to members of the Syracuse University CLEO team. Prof. Giancarlo Moneti and other members of the CLEO group will be performing an analysis of new data that will test the predictions of this model.
